Capital Region Water Green Stormwater Infrastructure

City Beautiful H2O is Capital Region Water’s program to reduce combined sewer overflows and improve water quality for the City of Harrisburg and neighboring communities, focusing on municipal infrastructure and the Susquehanna River and Paxton Creek. AKRF is providing planning, civil engineering, landscape design, and construction-phase services for multiple green stormwater infrastructure and multimodal transportation improvement projects under the program. Assignments to date have included the 7th Street Combined Sewer Separation and Streetscape Project; South Allison Hill Business District Sewer Replacement and Green Infrastructure Project; 3rd Street Multimodal Project; and Camp Curtin Big Green Block. AKRF is also contributing to the development of an operations and maintenance program and providing landscape maintenance services for green stormwater infrastructure assets.
