USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center

The U.S. Open era recently celebrated its 50th anniversary overall and its 40th anniversary at the Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in Flushing Meadows, Queens. AKRF has worked extensively for the United States Tennis Association, most recently completing an Environmental Impact Statement for the National Tennis Center Strategic Vision. The EIS addressed a full range of environmental impacts associated with the tennis stadium, park space, and traffic improvements. In addition to prior environmental studies, AKRF has completed site assessment and remediation projects, transportation planning studies, and economic projections. The 46.5-acre campus is home to three stadiums and 22 tennis courts, with another 11 courts in the adjoining park.
