Delivering offshore wind energy to the East Coast
Skipjack Offshore Wind Farm
The planning and permitting of the Skipjack Wind 1 offshore wind project with 120 MW of clean energy continues to advance off the Maryland/Delaware coast. AKRF is supporting air quality modeling and permitting for the Outer Continental Shelf air permit as part of a consultant team. We have performed underwater acoustic modeling to evaluate the potential impacts of underwater noise to fish, sea turtles, and marine mammals associated with construction of turbine foundations and vessel noise during cable installation. Additionally, our firm is preparing the Air Quality and Onshore Noise sections of the COP and conducting field survey/reporting services for onshore noise along the cable routes for Skipjack Wind 2, which will be an approximately 846 MW project.
