Rockefeller University River Campus

The Stavros Niarchos Foundation-David Rockefeller River Campus officially opened at The Rockefeller University in Manhattan. AKRF prepared the Environmental Impact Statement pursuant to CEQR; provided vibration and crack monitoring for the protection of historic structures during construction; and performed site assessment and remediation services both on campus and at the surrounding FDR Drive expansion site. We also coordinated with the New York State Office of Parks, Recreation, and Historic Preservation and the New York City Landmarks Preservation Commission concerning proposed modifications to the historic campus and the potential to impact historic structures, and prepared the Historic Americans Buildings Survey reports for Theobald Smith Hall and Flexner Hall. The new two-acre campus provides over 160,000 square feet of space including laboratories, offices, conference rooms, and common areas.
