Deborah Shapiro, QEP, is a Senior Vice President specializing in site assessment, remediation, and environmental regulatory compliance in the New York City Metropolitan area. Her experience includes all aspects of site assessment and remediation from initial due diligence assessments and remedial investigations through remediation and post-remedial site management.
Her projects often fall under the regulatory oversight of the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation, New York City Department of Environmental Protection, and New York City Office of Environmental Remediation, including the New York State Brownfield Cleanup Program, New York City Voluntary Cleanup Program, New York City E-Designation Program, and other local and state programs and initiatives.
Deborah earned master’s and bachelor’s degrees from American University and is a certified Qualified Environmental Professional. She is a frequent speaker and presenter on site assessment and remediation issues at industry conferences and events. Deborah joined AKRF in 2013.
