Offshore Wind Projects

AKRF is contributing to a variety of offshore wind projects in the Northeast Region, specializing in environmental and regulatory support for the planning, permitting, construction, and operation of wind power generation facilities and the associated transmission and interconnection facilities, as well as landside port, staging, and manufacturing facilities, and operations and maintenance bases.

Our technical services have included natural resource modeling and impact assessments; air quality analysis and modeling; underwater acoustic modeling; socioeconomic analysis and economic modeling; commercial fisheries and aquatic resource assessments; and local, state, and federal permitting. We are currently supporting the preparation of Construction and Operation Plans (COP) or Environmental Impact Statements (EIS) for several offshore wind farms.
